Naona [na-o-na] means “I see” in Swahili.

Founded by a Kenyan-German couple, naona is rooted in the dialogue between cultures, intuition and form. Our work draws from African symbolism and spiritual heritage, translated into a modern, minimal design language. Each piece is created with intention—never loud, never decorative, always meaningful.

Every necklace is handcrafted using genuine semi-precious stones and 925 sterling silver. Materials are chosen not only for their beauty, but for their presence—the way they feel, the way they ground, the way they carry energy. Each design begins with an inner quality and is shaped to make that quality visible.

The names of our necklaces are in Swahili. They represent inner states such as strength, love, clarity, intuition, or balance. Together, the collections form a journey through eight levels of being—each level reflecting a different facet of the self, each piece a quiet marker along the way.
